Combining shapes, colours and feelings.

I always loved drawing, bringing to live creatures and new worlds. Because of that fact, I decided to study art and spent many years developing my skills. Most of my projects have several hidden symbols and meanings behind them, as I like to play with my audience :) I started with traditional forms of expression, using tools like paint or pastels, and moved on to creating digital art.

It's about that flair.

As a freelancer, straight after university, I worked hard on every project, gaining experience and trying to add something special to each design. That brought a great deal of trust from my clients who returned for more. I worked with many firms and institutions - most notably AGH University of Science and Technology, Trefl and Cracow University of Technology. After two years, in 2013, I decided to start my own company, Flair creative point. I was responsible for the creative direction of Flair and with time was asked to move on to a Quality Lead position for Cognizant at Google, where we were focusing on mobile UI/UX design.

Live action

a little bit of horror... An unwanted guest comes for a visit to New York City. Produced at NYFA, starring Takahiro Oda. (public release date - Halloween 2020)

I created this tiny story during my time at New York Film Academy. Two young people waiting for each other and slowly growing impatient. Who can last longer? Starring Shirley Setia & Brian Bradley.

A documentary about an acoustician in one of the most famous theatres in Poland. He is the one responsible for the magical sounds that transport the viewers into a different world during the show.

Animation - storyboarded, directed & animated

Tiny people need to understand what is going on - the 2020 pandemic explained to children. Focus here is on coping with the anxiety, explained in a calm & gentle manner.

For WoodieHoo (RTL Disney)

Woodie Hoo comes to live! For this project, I was asked to supervise the whole animation process - both for the episodes I did (above) and the ones done by the team in Ukraine. If there was something non-existent in this world I just drew it - ex. water drops, clothes, piano, birds, healthy carrots or tasty cakes ;)

storytelling

The heart of the story.

What I have learned through my studies and experience is the fact that you may want your character to act in a certain way and it may turn out to be completely wrong. Look at Susie above. She was supposed to have black hair and come from a completely different background. Alas!

With time I understood that it's about the deeper truth you want to convey to the audience. According to the Disney's imaginners the key elements are to create a world, provide an adventure and build an emotional connection. I am trying to convey just that in my stories. education

For us a little thing, to them a whole new world.

I started teaching when I was still at universty, first as a volunteer in a hospital for children, later on giving creative English lessons. For my Masters, I developed a project called Create Your English, that helped me immensely in developing my own methods of teaching. Those include interactive learning, games, fun challenges and, yes, hard work. I coopereated with AIP PK, cofounded Professor Cogwheel's Academy and also ran workshops for children as a part of a summer program for Nowy Sącz.

I truly believe in kindness, patience, focus and fun. Example? For my kids I use my own currency, flairs or cogwheels, to teach them the value of their education and to motivate them to challenge themselves. Works like a charm ;) It's not about making children do things, it's about showing them, with time, that it can be something they actually want to do.

leadership

Learning to step away and let others figure it out.

Being responsible for oneself and being responsible for a whole team or crew is a completely different thing. First, I was in charge of hiring and supervising people at Flair (ex.workshops in Nowy Sącz) and later on at Google. I participated there in various courses, including leadership ones & worked alongside the Team Leader to ensure the success of our team. We received Process Excellentia award in 2017.

After the Picasso project, I moved on to my film work - directing, organising and trying to motivate - directly or remotely, like in the case of the Woodie Hoo project. Each time, there are new challenges & various dynamics. For me the biggest adventure has always been letting others make their own mistakes and take ownership of their own work. I am continuously learning :)
